Beaked tripod jug

The vase is painted with a shiny black slip resembling a metal vase. A vertical strap handle runs from the cut-away neck to the shoulder. The body is spherical with four nipple-like projections on the shoulder. Three legs, triangular in section are attached to the base of the vase. This type of vase is characteristic of the northeast Aegean during the Early Bronze Age.
