The magic world of art masters: crafts and tools of the past

The CAMU organizes new workshops about mastery in arts. Artists and researchers, who have worked with the museum’s collection, present techniques and tools of the past and unravel their secrets. They explain the qualities of the various materials and how one can master a craft through practice, repetition and mistakes.

Visitors participate by watching the artists, talking with them and by exploring selected tools and techniques under their guidance.

The workshops will be accompanied by:
– interpretation and archaeological commentary in English (11.00-15.00)
– interpretation/intercultural mediation in Arabic (11.00-15.00)
– interpretation in the Greek sign language (at 13.00 and 14.00).
