CAMU Animated

Τwo-day animation workshop (in Greek)
17-18 February 2024

In collaboration with ANIMASΥROS International Animation Festival

What is animation? How are animated movies created; Can we make inanimate archaeological objects appear to move? These questions will be explored in the two-day educational workshop “CAMU Animated”, which will take place at the Canellopoulos Museum on 17-18 February 2024, in collaboration with ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival.

The participants will work with museum curators and ANIMASYROS educators, and will learn how to create histories for museum exhibits through the art of animation, combining archaeological information with their imagination. In two 3-hour workshops, they will gradually build their one visual-audio creation, using techniques of stop motion, cut-out and plasticine animation (or claymation). The result will be an animated film, which will be presented at the CAMU website.

The ANIMASYROS team of educators will be led by Fokion Xenos, a well-known animation filmmaker, who has received many awards for his work in Greece and abroad.
